major sleep deprevation brings adventure to an end

Oh Europe!

You were good times, and i will visit you again soon, but i am glad to be home, where some new adventures will take place

Yay I made it safely back to dunners.

What a mission though!!

The night before leaving Utrecht I only slept a couple of hours, just couldn't sleep… was very tired trying to get out of bed really early in the morning.

And then I couldn't really sleep on the plane only another couple of disjointed hours. It was sunny when I left Holland but not too warm. I get to Singapore at six in the morning after already been traveling almost 16 hours on only a few hours sleep. And its flipping 30 degrees. So I strip down to my little skirt and tee shirt, muck around the airport until a decent hour of the morning before ringing some of my friends.

Unfortunately i couldnt meet up with Ian and Geri, which was a bit gutting, but thats life. But i meet Oceania for lunch at about one. In the mean time I went into the city, was walking around dead on my feet. Tried to find a park to sleep in or a park bench. Singapore has no parks!!!! I slept a little in an underground station while waiting for my friend who bought me lunch. And then we went to the Gallery Hotel early to meet Johnny who gave me a key to one of the rooms so I could have a wee nap. Slept a couple of hours almost but wokeup feeling more awful than before. Jumped in the shower which was perhaps a little naughty of me, but it was great. Was more awake after that.

I dont know whats wrong with me, normally i can sleep really well when travelling but it just wasnt happening on the next plane either, had to make myself sleep after watching some movies. And there was hardly anyone on the plane so I got a whole row to myself to lie down!!

Made it to chch, was so great to be back on home soil. except New Zealand has the most anal customs checks!! little snifter dog can be quite frightning.

Was cool i got to hang out with Paula and Heyley in Chch for the arvo before flying to dunners finally!!!

My luggage was a mission all in itself. All up I think I had nearly 50kgs! My suitcase was 25kg, Had some trouble getting my luggage on the domestic flight... the guy made me take a couple out but it was ok on the international. Then he made me weigh my carry on. It was15kg!!! I told him I would give some stuff to my friends to take down. I gave them a couple of things. But I managed to carry most of it. I also had my laptop case stuffed full of stuff, at least 5kg, and my shoulder bag, with camera etc in it.

All up I was traveling and in transit for 50 hours. And only slept about 8 to 10 hours. I arrived in dunners where it was 2degrees and it had just snowed so the airport had a white covering. So it was a bit of a shock coming from 30degree Singapore.

I collapsed into my bed. Woke up at five in the morning and thought to myself this is a little early to get up. Then woke up again at 4.30pm!! couldn't believe it. I thought my watch had died or gone funny. So I slept like 17hours that night. Was so mad that noone woke me up, cos I had a lot of stuff I needed to get done that day, and people I was gonna catch up with. And it also meant that I wouldn't get to sleep very easily the next night. and only got 3hours... surprise, surprise

The worst thing is it was apparently a really nice sunny day, but I completely slept through it and the sun was setting when I got up at 4.30 and it was dark when I got out of the shower… it made me feel very disorientated, my body clocked is screwed

So now I am writing this at five in the morning wide awake!! Unbelieveable. (shakes head)

I think I will get up soon and sort my life out, gotta get all my stuff out of storage. And do a whole lot of stuff in town.

So yeah that's the story of my life in the last four days, didn't achieve much except getting across from the other side of the world.

well thats the end of my adventures for a while, have to come back down to reality where there will be adventures of a different kind. my blog www.rosyponders.blogspot.com will contunue to be updated as i progress on my graduation sculpture.

a disaster dessert

(above, some of our BS group)
Oh dear.

Simone and I tried to make pavlova, for our friends at the bible study group. We wanted to show them a bit of New Zealand food.

We had never made pavlova before…

It was… you could say… very interesting….

We made, well I made the most… some very horrified and embarrassed faces. It was a bit of a disaster. We didn’t beat the eggs before putting the sugar in….

It looked ok cosmetically when covered in cream and kiwifruit, and it didn’t taste too bad. It just wasn’t cooked properly and was about one third the size it should hve been…

- making the most of the final weeks in utrecht

YaY!! its nearly time to come home. im really excited, and ive been counting the days.
im sure my flatmates are getting a little tired of it
'in three weeks ill be home!'
'only two and a half weeks to go!'
'two weeks and three days till i fly!!!'
'two weeks and one day to go!!'
well now its only one week and four and a half days till i fly!!
this time in two weeks ill be asleep in my own bed

ooo im excited!
but that doesnt mean im not still having fun here. ive a list of must do things i want to do before i go, and im slowly getting through them.
- like take my map and my bike and explore some of the parks on the other side of town.
- bike along the red light district
- go shopping in rotterdam
- bike to the lake
- check out a coffeeshop
- catch more of the nightlife

i have a new flatmate, who was here when i got back from spring break.
Her name is Diana, she is half dutch half mexican.
she is cool! she can speak 5 languages you know!
this weekend we hit the town together. it is theatre week here in utrecht and there are bands playing on a stage in what is the utrecht equivalent to the octagon.
So we went and checked that out, and got our groove on to the skabadivers (not too shabby)
pic: left

we wanted to go to a show that evening, that started at 11.30pm. from what the program said we thought it was going to a theatrical installation performance, with a french director. it was going to be on location, mysterious and the graveyard was central to the piece, and the dead were going to talk to us!! there was a bus leaving at 11pm to take us to this mysterious location.

well we went to buy tickets, but the ticket office was just closing. we were quite disappionted, and thought maybe we can buy tickets on the bus. the bus driver didnt know anything about it, he let us jump on anyway.

(us on the bus)

now you must realise this was quite scary. it was very dark. this bus took us out of town to the wop wops of utrecht, we ended up at a forest place. the french director greeted us in french, and motioned for us to follow him. onto another bus that was pionting in the forest, it was set up like a cinema, and there was a lifelike old man model sitting in one of the seats. all in the dark, he was flickering his lighter and walking upand down the aisle. then 'flick' on comes a projecter. the short film was a narrative (in dutch) with the camera passing landscape at a fast pace.
Diana was translating for me. it was all about this guy who was visiting his old town but everyone was dead, and he was recalling memories.
after that we walked through the forest and along the way were these 'houses' like sculptural still frames of an old memory. they were quite freaky, and the clocks were tick tick ticking.
then we made it to the graveyard installation. it was set under neath this really huge canopy tree, was quite poetical. and there were many candles lit. Then the graves started speaking!!
they talked about the meaning of life, what their lives were like, what does death mean, what they miss about living, complaining about the state of their graves etc etc.
was very interesting experience.

on our way home from town, diana and i biked along the red light district.
i thought that it was something i should take a look at, since it was right by where we live.
the prostitutes work in canal boats, it is actually a really nice setting.
i bike on the other side of the canal behind the red light canals whenever i go into town.
So this night we biked on the red light side. its unbelievable...
this road has a dead end on both sides, so the cars that crawl along it all day and all night are there for one purpose...
and its a very long road, there are a lot of girls working there.
and they are all very beautiful, it makes me very sad....

Adv 20. The MOTHERLAND!!!

Ah London!!! i felt so at home here :)

walking around hearing the british accent made me grin and giggle!!

I arrived on a plane from barcelona, really quite late, i dont know what i was thinking, getting in so late, thank goodness i could jump on a train into the city, and raced to the metro and mananged to catch the last tube at midnight, was a close one. and the hostel where i crashed was really simple to find.

May 5 - met up Simone again, moved all my stuff over to where she was staying with some kiwi friends. we walked around london! the weather was mint! typical though, i go to italy expecting it to be warm, end up wearing my jacket, come to london expecting to need my jacket and it flipping sunbathing weather!! but im not complaining.

we went to the tate modern, which y'all should do when in london, cos its free, and really cool!!
I'm kinda sick of sightseeing, but we saw some of the token sights, millenium bridge, buckingham palace etc etc. heres me with the london eye!

London was really beautiful, actually more beautiful than i ever thought it would be, becuase big city etc, was just expecting loads and loads of people, but there were huge parks in the middle of everything. i mean HUGE like entering into another dimension HUGE. and sadly i rate it more beautiful than Florence... just... but maybe just cos the sun was out, which i know in reality is a rarity.
but look at this stunning display of spring!!

in the evening hung out with our wonderful hosts Louisa and Rob and their kiwi friends at the local pub where it seemed eveeryone was kiwi of aussie!

May 6 - Louisa took Simone and I to the Portobello markets! so many people!

then i hung out with my cousin Kate for the rest of the day. my favourite part. theres something about family that is just really cool!
and well id never really met her before... not that i remember anyway, im just a spring chicken.
we walked through Hyde park. MASSIVE! thats when the rain decided to downpour.

And we dashed to Harrods :) ridiculously extravagant with 5 floors of everything you could imagine.

we ate doughnuts at krispy kreme, and i made kate put on the silly hat :) for the piture

we and sat and chatted over lattes and scones with clotted cream! what a hoot!!! in Harrods!!!

kate had booked a table for three at a pub with a thai restaurant in the back in notting hill.
Adrian, another cousie was coming!! big surprise for me, cos nobody really told me he was in london. So that was really great, id only met him once before about 5 years ago i think.
our table wasnt gonna be ready till nine, so we sat in the pub and had some drinks and chatted some more. Adrian turned up, we chatted some more. was really good times. we talked about what the family is up to etc etc, life in london, and adrian and kate saying london was a primo place to live, what would my parents think.... ;) 'ahh, they'll survive'
My family ROCKS!!!! just wanted y'all to know that. everyone is doing amazing things with their lives, we're like all blessed with intelligent DNA and everyones practically famous!! (well that last bit might be an exaggeration, depends what circles you move in i guess)

Adrian, Kate and I with our cheesy grins at dinner.

and here we are again, look at us posers
Lekker ding!! (thats dutch for HOT, just by the by)
nobody will ever guess how old these crazy cats are.

thanks guys, for showing me a good time:)

May 7 - Simone and i went with some kiwis to the flower market. then we headed to Speakers Corner by Hyde Park. where mostly religious and political fanatics are spouting their piont of view and the audience argues and yells abuse at them. Funny stuff.

We met Inge and Nick for lunch. Inge is a mate from art school, who married a Brit. so now is living in England, and they happened to be in the London vicinity for the weekend so was cool to catch up :) But would you believe they'll be moving back to dunners next year. see you guys again soon.

We went to the Camden Market, hehe crazy stuff. punks galore!!!
in the evening it was time to walk to the streets of London and see the night lights.
good times all round!!!!

May 8
aahhhhh travelling all day. to get back to my bed in Utrecht.
it was such a frustration coming back to holland and hearing the ugliest of all languages again,
its like the complete opposite of the british accent which just made me grin whenever i walked past anyone talking.

but alas i only having to bear 3 and a half more weeks here.
im looking forward to going home and getting stuck into some hardcore creativity, i feel like ive been on holiday for too long.
i need to do something, im a doer.
but i do have a stack of work to be getting on with here. I will conquer my dissertation!!! i will i will.

Adv 19. Barcelona...

Wow i had some really good times in Barcelona!!! but its quite a dodgy city, (well where i was staying anyway) there'll be no walking around by oneself at night here. and it is dirty and smelly, but the beach is lovely!! and i even managed to get a little colour.

On the morning of the 2nd of May, i had to drag myself out of bed at 5am, waited at the bus stop in in the rain, to get to Milan Bergamo airport in time for check in for a flight to Barcelona, SPAIN!!!
And the day was beautiful!!! managed to find my hostel eventually. set about decided what to do for the arvo, when i met some canadians....those guys were some crazy cats!! Wyatt on the left, Alex in the middle and Lekkerding thats me on the end. (we went to have a look at the stunning beach, via the harbour, the mall, and the pub) It was Alex's 19th birthday, the legal drinking age in Canada, so he was drinking beer all day!!

after that i ditched those guys and went and had a look at the Gaudi Park. REALLY COOL!
for those of you who don't know who Gaudi is, you should find out, cos he's cool. He was like an alternative architect, designed this park and some apartment buildings and the Sagrada Familia, a cathedral that is in the process of being built.

I have way too many rockin cool pics to post. i think i may have to have a slideshow when i get home. anyways... left: is me from the Gaudi park with Barcelona in the back ground.

Wyatt and Alex's friends Kenan and Janine were coming over from Canada that night, they hadnt slept in two days, and so then of course we hit the town that night to celebrate Alex's birthday.
good times :)

May 3rd - well by this time there was a big party of us. Alex and Wyatt and Kenan and Janine and I and also Jodie (an australian chick who i was sharing a room with)
we spent the day walking the La Rambla, went to the Sagrada Familia and climbed the towers, ate doner kebabs for lunch, Wyatt got a tattoo of the canadian maple leaf on his calf (as you when you're in spain ;)
we out to an italian restaurant for dinner (also something one does when in spain, go figure).
we sat on the terrace at the hostel for a while, good times once again, met an irish couple (very hilarious) and we hit the town once again

below:
jodie and I outside Sagrada Familia
the six of us at delicious Italian Restaurant, we our food anyway...
and Janine, Kenan and Jodie on the terrace

May 4 - this day i went to the Joan Miro museum, interesting.... he's one of my favourite painters...

then i wanted to walk the shopping line! which is what barcelona is famous for, but i only made it one third of the way. there were way too many cool shops and i spent too much money, then i was really tired and decided i should leave while i could still afford to eat.
went back to the hostel to pick up my bags and say good bye to my new friends, to catch a bus to girona airport to fly to London!!!!!!!

Adv 18. Bergamo and Milan

Milan!! ok this was an experience, i dont recommend travelling in Italy by oneself... too stressful trying to watch your back and your bags

April 30 - i jumped on a train, reasonably early cos i wanted to avoid all the people at the station, it took forever to get to Bergamo.
I had booked a hostel in Bergamo because there was no room at the inn on Sunday night in Milan.
I got to Milan ok, but then it was another really slow hour to Bergamo, stopping at every stop...
grrrr
in the evening i had a look around Bergamo, it wasnt anything spectacular, it reminded me of Rome, just a lot smaller.
May 1 - LABOUR DAY
I didnt know it was labour day today. GRRR. no buses running all morning. so i walked to the train station, had to wait forever for a train to Milan.
Milan was chaos!!! everyone was on the streets. there were street performers, and concert stages being put up all over. I just wanted to see the cathedral... got lost, got ripped off by black street sellers, TWICE!!! (a story for another day) got really pissed off, the cathedral (the one thing i wanted to see in Milan,) was covered in scaffolding, and i said out loud 'you have got to be kidding!', had a look inside, came out again, walked around the outside of it(see the pic where i dont look so happy...), got distracted by a market stall and there was a march down the city centre with loudspeakers and big trucks throwing stuff onto the crowd, the place was crawling with policemen on every corner with shields and batons, stayed and watched for a little while, but didnt really want to be there if it turned ugly, coudnt find the metro station, missed the train i wanted to catch back to Bergamo, got hit on by a really black African, who was actualy really nice, but my experience of the black people in Italy had not been good, so i was of course very suspicious and on my guard, but he convinced me to have a coffee with him, while i waited for the next train. (also a story for another day)

but i made it safely back to my bed...

Adv 17. God Bless Florence

WOW! Florence is the most beautiful city in Italy
It was really really cool, even though the weather was a little drizzly, and it bucketed down at night, and the thunder and lightning bashed and crashed while we had to sleep in a tent at the Michelangleo Camping Ground. above: the river Arno. top, with the moody clouds. bottom, looking at the most famous bridge over the Arno.

April 26 - after catching a train from Venice, we jumped on a bus to get to our camping ground. i think the bus took us a really long way around the city, which was cool to see but also a bain cos it took forever. it made me smile to see the traffic conditions, typical Italians with no road rules and there are like 5 lanes around the roundabouts and mopeds trying to weave in between all the cars, in other words TOTAL CHAOS!!
and then we drove through a scenic route, a stunning contrast to the hectic city

April 27 and 28 - Simone and I spent these two days just walking around the city, getting a feel for the place, shopping, avoiding the african men trying to sell us fake stuff, trying to find some bargains in the markets, sitting in parks and eating bread and cheese, sitting in cafes and drinking coffee. sitting at the bar in the camping ground and talking to some other travellers. eating gelato, and looking out over the city from Michelangelo piazza. we did a lot of walking!!! walked the scenic route that the bus took, was really beautiful.
We climbed the stairs of the duomo in the city centre, and we could see the whole city laid out 360deg. it was really spectacular.
below is simone and I happy to be in italy overlooking florence from the top of the cathedral :)
and i am pointing to our camp ground,

April 29 - heres where Simone left me to go back to Holland, and i spent the day doing 'stuff'
walked around a bit, managed to sun bath for about an hour, did some reading etc etc. in the evening i sat with some NZ girls, who it actually turned out went to the same high school as i, was good times, reminescing about the old days, and teacheres who have been teaching there far too long, and singing the school song :) (well what we could remember of it)

Adv 16. Venice: the city of canals

Venice is fantastic!!! It is made of 150 islands connected by 400 bridges. there are no roads for the cars to drive, everything is by foot or boat. This place has such great character. we werent there very long, didnt really need to be it was a very small city, but it was cool!!! and it wasnt even festival time, which i imagine would be so insanely cool, i must go back there one day when it is on.

April 24 - After spending the arvo in Pisa we missioned on a train to the mainland part of Venice. well we actually seriously considered renting a car and driving around italy when we first arrived in pisa , which would have so so cool, but in the end we opted for the train becuase money is tight being a student trying to live on new zealand dollars in the countries with the euro.
Oh i hate trains!! especially so late at night, we'd been travelling all day...
we missed the last bus to the camping ground, and had to fork out mega bucks for a taxi...

but we made it safe and sound, praise God!
April 25 - in the morning the sun was shining and the camping ground was beautiful!

we caught a ferry over to Venice, and spent the day shopping and walking around the market stalls, and eating gelato and watching the street performers (which were amazing, like two guys playing a concert on glasses of water! bloody brilliant and they had their own album!) i dragged Simone into the Doge's Palace, cos i wanted to learn at least something about Venician history. and we caught a water taxi right around the outside of the city and down the grande canal. then as we were trying to navigate our way through the insanely narrow paths with a really small map back to the ferry terminal we totally got lost and ended up in the opposite place, on the other side of the city. but it was ok becuase Venice is really not that big so it didnt take us long to walk across.

April 26 - we were booked to stay another night at the camping ground but after the old Italian man at reception told us the night before that the other island we were planning to go, which was a beach and we wanted to lie on it all day, was not that good this time of year, and then the weather wasnt very good either we decided to get out of venice and head to Florence.

Adv 15. a quick peek at the leaning tower

April 24 - this day marked the first day of spring break, which i decided to take an extra week off for, because one must do these things and make the most of it when one is one the other side of the world.
Simone and I flew into Pisa, Italy.

Italy is the place on earth that i would call my 'dream' country. The place that i would most like to visit, i guess becuase of movies and literature that has romanticised this place for me, and becuase of the creative culture they have so rich in the arts. So it was a must that i explore as much as i could.
It is much the same as Europeans having New Zealand as their 'dream' country, especially the Germans and the Italians. i think that it is so far away makes it a dream country becuase the majority would never be able to get there, and the film industry has made our country into something really exotic.

anyways we flew to Pisa on the East Coast of Italy, and the weather was great! beautiful sunny day, just the way Italy should be in the spring :) made me very happy.

And Simone and I went to visit the Leaning Tower of Pisa, as you do when you are in Pisa.

ok so this photo is not so good, cos it actually looks like we are leaning as well.... which i think we probably are, and so it just looks like i didnt take the photo straight, which i actually did

but notice the singlets!!! first time in three months we have singlet weather. so we lay in the sun for a while :)

Adv. 14 Happy Easter

well for the last whole week, ive been frantically making and making. im trying to construct a large scale model of the cathedral structure ive been working on. im making it out of wire and plastic sheets and string, it has been long and tedious, but i think it has potential. for pics and further explanation see my online workbook www.rosyponders.blogspot.com
so that explains the lack of adventures in my life of late, ive been becoming very aware of the lack of time i have left to produce some quality work and plans for next semester so its been head down for a brief while, not too mention utrecht isnt exactly the most happening place, and im taking an extra week off with spring break to do some travelling around this wonderful world of europe :)

But its just been Easter weekend. And not too shabby either, the sun has managed to govern the sky the majority of the time. and simone and I went on a little adventure to Amsterdam.

Saturday 15th April
After a slowish start to the morning, we made it onto a train at 10.30am or there abouts.
a very sleepy trip to Amsterdam... wake up!! wake up!!
first stop was a quick peek at the Stedelijk Museum, an art gallery of contemporary art, they had an exhibition of video gaming art and Shirin Neshat videos among others. I found the Neshat videos really interesting if not a little wierd. they were commenting on Iranian Muslim society. but i like wierd things.

We met Simones friend Karen from NZ, who's living in London and in Amsterdam for the weekend and her British friend Penny. we stood in a 'short' line that wasnt moving very fast to get tickets to the Anne Frank House at the info centre, in order to avoid the much longer line that went around the block from the house itself.
These two girls were cool (from left: penny, karen, simone, rosy), it was awesome to meet them, we spent the arvo wandering along the canals looking for some of the crazy sites like the skiniest house, the most crooked cafe and the cat boat, we had lunch, we ended up at the flower market, we had coffee. it was pleasant, though not at the time of this photo so there's blue sky thanks to photoshop.
We made it to the Anne Frank House, very interesting, but very crowded and a little compact.

After that Simone and I jumped on a few trams and the metro to get to her brothers friends house, Eavan a girl from Ireland who said we could crash at ther house for the night, she was also very cool. she made us dinner and we rushed out again to make it to the theatre in time.

Waiting for Godot, by Samuel Beckett
a very interesting production, one of the kind where you either love it or hate it.
I thought it was fantastic, a very realistic portrayal of the human condition, but written with a very abstract plot. So kind of wierd, which is what i love :) Simone and I found it hilariously amusing, and seemed to be the only ones who did at some points. Honestly. we couldnt stop ourselves from laughing, and endured some strange looks, but it was really really funny. it was the dialogue and the facial expressions that made it, some very brilliant acting.
"...concurrently simultaneously what is more for reasons unknown but time will tell..."
they've made it into a movie i think, samuel beckett is quite a famous playwright and he's produced a bunch of other weird plays as well. i'd never heard of him before we watched a doco on him last year for school. it was great to be able to see one of them.

there were a group of Irish people at Eavan's apartment when we got back, on holiday for the easter weekend. Amsterdam seems to be the place to go... they were cool too, of the 'artistic' brand of people, was intersting listening to them talk about art and culture.

In the morning we went to church. It was a really lovely day for it, which really helped to overcome the tiredness. we met Karen and Penny on the tram, and made it just a little bit late, though of course there is always time to grab a coffee, much to Penny's dismay ;) who is British and must always be on time. A very good service too i thought.

mmm another sleepy train ride back home again and a lovely strodal (cross between stroll and pedal) home in the sun.

look where i had to get my bike out of at the station!!! what a mish, stuck in the middle, it wasnt how i left it...lovely Easter.
Christ has Risen!!!
He has Risen indeed!!

Adv. 13 next stop the third largest german city

COLOGNE or KOLN

Thursday: i got on a train early this morning, to start my journey back to Utrecht. At Koln i jumped off the train because i really wanted to visit the Cologne Cathedral. Its the largest and most impressive in Germany. Well... it was cool!!!

Jacqui is in Cologne studying for a semester, so i had coffee with her, which was really cool, good to catch up, see whats the hap. We walked through the cathedral, once again it was very chilly inside...
(left: jacqui and I outside Cologne cathedral)
It was a lovely winter sunny day, and i sat in the square outside the cathedral for a while and did some drawing, it was very pleasant and there were human statues making the people laugh.

(below: cologne cathedral)

Then i visited the Ludwig Museum. This was cool!!! i wasnt sure what exactly what was there before i went, cos i just looked on the net the day before to see if cologne had anything good. Well i got a very pleasant surprise. It was a last days of the La Gare de Perpignan Salvador Dali exhibition. There were over 150 Dali drawings, prints, videos, paintings. IT WAS AMAZING!! Dali is another of my most favourite artists, so it was cool. (below: a selection of cool Dali paintings)

And the Ludwig Museum also has a very extensive pernament collection. SO BIG!! I ended up there for hours, and missed climbing the 500 or so stairs in the cologne towers (dang) but it was worth it. There was so much art there, im so arted out...
There was a large Pop art collection, with Litchenstein, Rauschenburg, Warhol, Jasper Johns, Richard Hamilton, James Rosenquist, Edward Kienholz
and a large cubist/surrealist era collection, a stack of Picasso drawings and paintings, Max Ernst, Francis Picabia, Giacometti, Hans Arp sculpture, Man Ray, Magritte, Yves Klein, Christo, Duchamp, Braques, Kasimir Malewitsch... it was a lot to take in.
my favourite though was a really beautiful short film by William Kenridge 1994, Felix in Exile. he does really amazing animated charcoal drawing films.

After dinner i got back on the train and arrived safe and sound in Utrecht.
I really loved Germany, which was really great for me, cos i had never considered it before.
I experienced so much in such a short time, and got some great thinking done on the trains for how im going to execute my art school graduating piece.

Now im back in the dreariness of Holland and must do some serious work cos im only here for another 8 weeks (eek) not much time...
