- The car we named 'Sir Edward'

Ranco's car...
the most odd, intriguing, absurd car you'll ever see, and certainly would rarely have the chance to ride in.

Simone and I met Ranco and Elvira because they have an international bible study at their house every fortnight, and Halle Hallelujah, they go to the same church we have been missioning to in Amstelveen. so for two weeks now we have been hitching a ride in this most random car. cuts our travel time by an hour!!

let me enlighten you of some of its quality features :)
the seats are low riding, and of a somewhat small nature
one of the back doors doesnt open
there appears to be no inner casing to the frame of the car, and wires are running along the sides.
it was raining that day and water was dripping (well... a steady stream is more acurate) into the front by the passengers feet.
it was used in the second world war, and designed to carry eggs from the farms.... well thats what Ranco said
the front windscreen... is more like half a windscreen, an oddity that amused me greatly
he doesnt lock his doors, so that nobody would knife his roof open, not that anybody would want to steal it :)

i had to ask if holland had any warrent testing, cos i was sure this car wasnt road worthy, but he assured us it was perfectly safe. and true enough we made it to church and back, chugging along the motorway at a healthy 90km

this week we gave Ranco's car a name... Sir Edward. to recognise the great service the car has done.
Ranco wants to paint his car, he wasnt really interested in my first suggestion of pink with yellow racing stripes... but he warmed more to the idea of a mondriaan style design. haha, that would be the coolest.

Ah Ranco, so proud of his car, its truly fantastic
