- the romantic white stuff

it's been snowing every day for the last week!
HA !!! take that killer bicycle

they tell me the weather is unpredictable here, but i think its pretty safe to predict that it will always be cold and dreary.
and its been exactly the same for the last week: its sunny in the morning for maybe an hour or two, and tricks you into thinking it might be a nice day, then it clouds over and theres the odd rainy, hail and snow patches, for the rest of the day. always cold. and overnight it snows so in the morning everything is white. followed by sun which melts the snow and the cycle begins again...

Its definitely an adventure biking in this stuff. i went to watch a movie at a friends house and when i went to bike home the whole place was covered in snow, it was crazy!!! like going through a door in wonderland and going from one world and ending up in another.

its like that when you go to sleep at night as well. the amazement nevers seems to wear off. the snow will disappear during the day, but the first peek out the window in the morning is breathtaking each day. When everything is covered in white it makes it really beautiful, it disguises the ugliness of the barren winterland.

i've had the privilege of biking in a light snow pour, i thought it was most romantic, with the dark cover of night and a warm glow from the street lamps, i pedaled along at a leisurely rate all wrapped up snuggly in jacket and scarf and thought, this is fantastic, it is good to be alive :)
